On March 21, the regular general meeting of the Assyrian Turabdin Association in Jönköping was held. Delegates from the national association’s various local chapters had traveled to Småland to elect the next board of the Assyrian National Association in Sweden.
ROM elected Teglat Lahdo as chair of the meeting, and he proceeded in the usual manner to review the annual report and highlight the activities that had stood out over the past year. After all documents had been presented and the outgoing board had been granted discharge, the annual meeting reached the point where a new board was to be elected.
Nemrod Barkarmo and Gabriella De Basso were elected chair and vice chair, respectively.
The other members of the board who were elected were: Nina Akho, Tomas Thamras, and Ninab Yaku.
Johan David, Viktor Birol, and Ninve De Basso were elected as alternates.
The new board would like to thank the previous board for their efforts during the past term and hopes that, together, they can help strengthen the Assyrian movement in the future.
